At a very young age, Karishma Devi Maharaj has been heavily involved in Visual Arts. She has always represented her schools at various art competitions such as SanFest and returned with excellence each time. She studied Visual Arts at CXC where she obtained a Grade 2 in 2012. Art, being her strong point and main interest she furthered the subject at CAPE level where ‘Art and Design’ was done as an additional subject. She then achieved two (2) distinctions in both Units in 2013 and 2014.
Ms. Maharaj is quite versatile in many other fields aside from 2 Dimensional Art. She has done ceramics, pyrography, textiles and quilling. In addition to the mentioned skill set, Ms. Maharaj is a professional Nail Technician, Mehndi Artist and Makeup Artist. However, she does not intend to stop there as she continues to advance herself in many other related fields.
Currently, she is enrolled in a Bachelor of Education programme at The University of Trinidad and Tobago in pursuit of becoming a primary school teacher as she loves working with young minds.
